Munich, 12 October 2016 – Hoffmann Group has appointed Dr Robert Blackburn the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Effective January 1 2017, he will take over as Chair of the Board of Executive Directors with the aim of promoting growth both nationally and internationally, and of leading Hoffmann Group into the digital age.

Robert Blackburn is considered internationally to be a leading mind with strategic vision and to be a pioneer in the field of digitalization. As President of Supply Chain Operations & Information Services at BASF Group he has led the global transformation and digitalization of the chemical giant, amongst other responsibilities.

Before joining BASF in 2007, the father of four children held leadership roles at IBM and Deloitte. Today, Robert Blackburn is both chair and member of several supervisory boards and teaches as a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Robert Blackburn出生于美國,在馬里蘭大學和海德堡大學完成了科學學士學業(yè),并在弗吉尼亞大學取得了管理學碩士學位。隨后他在維爾茲堡的Julius-Maximilius大學取得經(jīng)濟學博士學位。
Born in the USA, he completed his Bachelor of Science at the universities of Maryland and Heidelberg, and obtained a Master in the field of Management from the University of Virginia. He subsequently gained his doctorate in Economics at the Julius-Maximilius University of Würzburg.
