POLLUSTOP? is an anionic polysaccharide with a high molecular weight (2 million daltons) in the form of a 1% viscous solution in water. Obtained according to a biotechnological fermentation process using plant sorbitol (of corn origin) and autolytic yeast extract (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) as reactional substrates, POLLUSTOP? is a branching, desacetylated polymer, the repetitive unit of which is a tetrasaccharide comprising: L-fucose, D-glucose and glucuronic acid.
An optimized matrix
The originality of this polysaccharide is the fact that it’s an active-excipent combining protection and well-being for a perfect anti-aging protection. Indeed, it presents activities against environmental aggressions, mainly responsible for the aging acceleration, but also substantive sensorial properties due to its capacity to form a non-occlusive shield or 3D matrix on the skin’s surface.
Presenting an affinity for bivalent salts, ethanol and glycols, POLLUSTOP? forms, combined with these ingredients, a more stable and better organized matrix network.
