[Chinaplas 2014 Review]


        

In the trade show Gary Tu, the general manager of Ever Polymer talked about his expectation towards the Chinese market.

IRNA: For which of the topics discussed in the sector you care about most?
Gary Tu: I found out that during the recent China plas the numbers of foreign exhibitors are the same while local companies participated more and more than before, hence there are many excess capacity here in China. As the economic growth of China encounters slow down, the market is faced with price war. With this situation at sight, we have to decide on our sales tactic and we decide to step into high level sectors such as medical, industrial, and electronic applications. Regarding the medical sector, we focus on disposable products such as packaging material, peripherals, stopper, and tubes. We cooperate with international pharmaceutical factories as they work in China market for years so that we are sure that we keep up with the latest trends here. By this linkage we re-enter into the higher level China market and avoid the sectors which are excess in capacity.

IRNA: What is your main exhibit promoted in CHINAPLAS2014? What is your expectations towards this trade fair?
Gary Tu: We work hard in many higher level applications and in this time our primary target is for the medical application. For the trade fair this time located in Shanghai, there are many people come from medical background and we want to meet them on the show. This huge platform is a great place for people with different needs to meet. Further, as we have factory in Malaysia, we also want to meet buyers from ASEAN and the middle East because the dimention of China Plas, is not local, but international, so every corner in the world are possible
