Mr. Richter, what does project engineering mean for a tool manufacturer?

In the first place, our role as a tool manufacturer continuously mutates into that of a technology partner who cooperates closely with machine manufacturers and users and thus develops custom-fit solutions for complex machining processes. In doing so, you need to consider a variety of technical and economical factors right from the beginning. An important prerequisite is having a longtime experience as well as maintaining a continuous knowledge transfer with the customers.

For many years, we have been implementing successfully our customers' projects worldwide. Especially the companies LMT Kieninger and LMT Belin, two highly specialized tool suppliers, provide our group with their longtime experience in the field of project engineering, particularly as to the machining of cubic components. This includes a complex knowledge as well as an extensive product range consisting of standard and special tools.

How do you organize project engineering at LMT Tools?

The project engineering center of LMT Tools is located at the German site of Lahr at the company LMT Kieninger. It serves as a coordination basis for the project development in close team cooperation with the competence centers of LMT Kieninger, LMT Belin and LMT Fette. The global service network of LMT Tools guarantees a continuous support reaching from tool commissioning during the project start-up phase to the optimization of the existing production process. Furthermore, together with our customers we develop customfit service concepts for maintaining the production process.
